Nuanu now has Black soldier fly (BSF) to reduce kitchen and food waste!
What is BSF? BSF is a type of fly three times the size of an ordinary fly, the larvae of BSF are champions at breaking down green materials and household garbage, and they can break down food waste in a matter of days. Each larva can consume up to 200 mg of food waste daily and accumulate and remove some toxic substances from compost.
We use BSF larvae to break down kitchen and food waste because it enormously impacts health and the local and global environment if managed poorly.
