Filming & Photography Guidelines

1. Prior Approval Required

All professional filming and photography activities* require prior approval from Nuanu’s Brand and Communications Team by submitting a request to [email protected]. Additionally, a consent form must be completed in accordance with Nuanu Filming and Photography Guidelines. Please ensure:

  • A detailed proposal is submitted, including shooting dates, equipment lists, and the purpose of the content.
  • Approval is obtained for all professional equipment, such as drones, stabilizers, and lighting rigs.
  • Requests must be submitted at least 7 days in advance. Approvals are typically issued within 3–5 working days.

* Professional content creators include those producing for commercial, promotional, or public distribution purposes.

2. Restricted and Confidential Areas

  • Access to construction zones or restricted areas is prohibited unless explicitly authorized.
  • Certain locations may remain confidential to safeguard the integrity of ongoing projects.

3. Privacy and Consent

  • Explicit consent must be obtained from visitors, staff, and residents before they are filmed or photographed.
  • Do not capture or publish footage of individuals or activities without prior permission. Please ensure all onsite arrangements are handled directly by your team.

4. Equipment Limitations

To ensure safety and minimize disruptions:

  • The use of drones, large rigs, extensive lighting setups, and boom mics is prohibited without prior approval.
  • Opt for lightweight, portable equipment whenever possible.

5. Attire Restrictions for Filming and Photography

Photography or videography featuring overly revealing attire is only permitted in designated areas that allow such dress codes. Revealing attire includes swimwear, lingerie-style outfits, or clothing that excessively exposes the chest or buttocks outside designated beach or pool areas.

  • In the event of a violation, Nuanu reserves the right to halt the activity, request the removal of recorded material, or deny approval for content publication.

6. Content Review and Publishing

  • All raw footage or images must be shared with Nuanu’s Brand and Communications Team.
  • Content intended for public or commercial platforms must undergo final review to ensure alignment with Nuanu’s values and factual accuracy.

7. Accurate Representation and Attribution

  • Properly credit Nuanu as the featured location without claiming creative ownership of third-party content. Suggested formats include:
    • Filmed at Nuanu Creative City
    • Location Courtesy of Nuanu Creative City
  • For projects supported by Nuanu (e.g., guided tours, visuals), consider adding:
    • Special Thanks to Nuanu Creative City
  • Attribution is optional for private use but required for public, media, or commercial platforms.

8. Prohibited Activities

  • Capturing incomplete structures or restricted construction zones.
  • Disruptive actions that impact Nuanu's operations or guest experiences.
  • Use of personal information, visuals, or audio without explicit consent.
  • Content materials that damage or conflict with Nuanu's image, as well as those that fail to respect local customs and traditions or violate societal norms.

9. Promotion and Safety Considerations

  • Respect the Environment: Ensure filming does not disturb natural habitats, aligning with Nuanu’s ecological principles.
  • Safety First: Exercise caution in active construction areas and adhere to safety protocols.

10. Sanction

In the event of a violation of these provisions, including filming without prior approval, Nuanu reserves the right to:

  • Impose a fine of IDR 10,000,000.
  • Request the removal of the content or prohibit its use.

Violators will be notified in writing. Appeals can be submitted to the Brand and Communications Team within 5 working days.
