Art & Bali Announces Exhibitors for Its 2026 International Art Fair at Nuanu Creative City

28 July 2026, Bali, Indonesia — Art & Bali has announced the 22 exhibitors participating in its 2026 international art fair, taking place from 11–13 September at Nuanu Creative City in Bali.

Rooted in Indonesia, the line-up includes participants from Bali, Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta and Malang, alongside exhibitors from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and cross-border platforms working between Indonesia, Spain and Switzerland. Established galleries and cultural institutions will be presented alongside independent spaces, artist collectives, printmaking initiatives and multidisciplinary studios.

Alongside the fair, Nuanu Creative City will present its annual flagship exhibition, What the Body Remembers, opening on 11 September at Labyrinth Art Gallery and remaining on view until 29 November 2026.

Led by Bandana Tewari as Lead Curator, with Brina Paska as Assistant Curator, the exhibition brings together 26 artists, designers and studios from Indonesia and India working across contemporary art, fashion, textiles, craft, design and material culture.

Structured around the curatorial frameworks Hand as Archive and Routes of Exchange, the exhibition explores how memory and cultural knowledge are carried through touch, ritual, repetition, apprenticeship, inherited techniques and the movement of materials across people and places.

Across couture, embroidery, weaving, botanical dyeing, slow fashion, ritual, material research, women-led artisan networks and community-based production, the exhibition examines the hand as a site of memory, discipline, inheritance and transformation. The focus on Indonesia and India brings connected traditions of craft and material knowledge into dialogue, from Balinese and Indonesian textile practices to Indian couture, embroidery and slow fashion.

Held under the theme Bridging Dichotomies, Art & Bali examines the relationships between art and commerce, tradition and experimentation, local practice and international exchange. The exhibitor presentations form the market-facing core of a wider programme spanning exhibitions, installations, design, craft, performance and public conversations across Nuanu Creative City.

Sustainability is built into how Art & Bali is produced. HMR panels from the 2025 edition are being reused for this year’s booths, reducing construction waste and extending the life of the materials. It is a practical example of how art fairs in Indonesia can approach temporary infrastructure more responsibly.

The fair welcomes collectors and art professionals alongside designers, architects, cultural practitioners, hospitality leaders, residents and international visitors. This wider audience allows participating exhibitors and artists to meet people who may not ordinarily encounter their work through a conventional art fair.

As Bali’s creative community continues to grow, Art & Bali seeks to strengthen connections between the island, Indonesia’s wider art landscape and the international cultural community. The fair supports galleries and artists in reaching new audiences, developing relationships with collectors and contributing to the growth of the regional art market.

Art & Bali 2026 will take place from 11–13 September 2026 at Nuanu Creative City, Bali. The annual flagship exhibition, What the Body Remembers, will remain on view at Labyrinth Art Gallery until 29 November 2026.
