Nuanu Unveils Sutala Market, A New Gastronomy Destination Shaping the Future of Dining in Bali
Publish on 22 July 2026
A curated gastronomic and lifestyle destination uniting world-class culinary talent, local innovation, and community-driven experiences in Bali.
Nuanu proudly unveils Sutala Market, a new food and lifestyle district set to redefine Bali's gastronomic destination. Bringing together some of the most exciting local and international culinary concepts under one roof, Sutala Market is designed as a vibrant gathering place where food, culture, creativity, and community converge.
Scheduled for a soft launch in Q4 2026, the 17,000-square-meter destination within Nuanu Creative City is envisioned as one of Southeast Asia's top five gastronomy destinations, offering an immersive experience that celebrates innovation, craftsmanship, and the diversity of global and Indonesian cuisine.
Home to more than 50 carefully curated gastronomy and lifestyle experience, Sutala Market will feature 34 food and beverage concepts, 22 lifestyle and retail tenants. With commercial spaces ranging from 20 to 262 square meters, the destination brings together acclaimed chefs, independent artisans, and emerging names that celebrate gastronomy, retail, and culture.
Lev Kroll, CEO of Nuanu Creative City, said “The right culinary destinations can become powerful drivers of tourism, business growth, and cultural exchange. We have a simple strategy for Sutala Market that represents Nuanu’s approach to guests and residents: togetherness through variety. We want Sutala to become a place where people come together—residents, visitors, and the wider community can eat, connect, and experience the F&B heart of Nuanu. More importantly, we want it to enhance the quality of life for our residents, and finding the right partners who share this vision is an exciting journey in itself.”
“As Sutala Market is our biggest infrastructural project, we are very focused on doing it right from a master planning perspective for the Nuanu area and the neighbourhood itself. Our strategy is very simple, we have to find not one but 30+ best restaurants to be present here, because that’s the only way to achieve a variety of excellence. Becoming the tastiest part of Bali is a lot of research and a lot of tests, so I don’t think we’ve eaten this much ever – but what can you do?” added Lev.
Now in its final development phase ahead of its soft launch, Sutala Market is welcoming outstanding local and international restaurants to join. Designed as a long-term partnership, Sutala Market offers tenants up to six months with no rental obligations during the fit-out period, a competitive minimum rental structure complemented by a revenue-sharing model for additional growth, comprehensive operational and marketing support and access to a built-in audience generated by Nuanu’s growing residential community, millions of annual visitors, year-round events, and cultural attractions.
Conrad, Director of Sutala Market, added, "At Sutala, we see our restaurant tenants as long-term partners. We believe that great destinations are built together with the businesses that call them home. That's why we've created a partnership model that enables everyone to grow sustainably. From bringing together the right mix of culinary concepts and driving destination-wide marketing to managing the district as a whole, our role is to create an environment where every operator has the opportunity to thrive. When our partners succeed, Sutala becomes a stronger destination—and that's the kind of collaborative community we're committed to building."
As Bali continues to welcome millions of visitors each year, gastronomy has become one of the island's defining experiences. Sutala Market builds on that momentum by creating a destination where the world's best culinary talent, local innovation, and unforgettable experiences come together, strengthening Bali's position as one of the world's leading gastronomy destinations.
