Nuanu Launches Southeast Asia’s First VR Michelin Dining Experience in Bali

In collaboration with EPIC NOW, Nuanu launches Southeast Asia’s first VR Michelin dining experience at Luna Beach Club, introducing a new way of engaging with fine dining in the region.

Led by Michelin-recognized Japanese chef Kazushige Suzuki, the experience brings together Japanese–Balinese fusion cuisine and immersive virtual reality. Guests are guided through eight distinct VR worlds, each paired with a specially created dish that unfolds as part of a continuous narrative.

As the gastronomic centre of Nuanu Creative City, this experimental dining experience unfolds exclusively inside Luna Beach Club at Elysium, a glass-and-bamboo venue overlooking the open ocean, designed for immersive and carefully curated culinary encounters.

The experience is intentionally intimate; each session hosts just 18 guests, allowing for precision and a sense of presence that mirrors the care behind the food itself. Sessions run every Friday and Saturday evening at Luna Beach Club within Nuanu Creative City.

“Nuanu was created as a place where different disciplines can meet without losing their integrity,” said Lev Kroll, CEO of Nuanu Creative City. “This collaboration with EPIC.NOW reflects how we think about culture - collaboratively and with respect for both craft and audience.”

Globally, immersive dining has begun to gain traction in cities like New York and Tokyo, where VR-led gastronomic experiences are being explored as a way to deepen sensory engagement rather than replace it.

Guests can choose from four experience tiers, ranging from the Discovery Experience to a VIP Experience that includes curated drink pairings and exclusive menu elements. Private group buyouts are also available for celebrations and special occasions.

“We are so happy to be in Indonesia, bringing together Michelin dining, VR, and storytelling, inspired by local culture and designed to deepen human connection and Bali felt like the perfect place to begin.” said representatives of the EPIC NOW team.

With its limited seating and carefully considered format, the VR Michelin Dining Experience positions Bali at the forefront of experiential gastronomy in Southeast Asia, while reinforcing Nuanu Creative City’s role as a platform for experimentation across art, culture, and technology.

The experience launches at Luna Beach Club, Nuanu Creative City, Tabanan, Bali.
